We collect nothing
This app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you or your child. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party services. Your child's drawings stay on your device.
The app never sends anything to us, because we have no servers for it to send to. Everything it needs is bundled on your device.
Specifically, we do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or contact details
- Dates of birth, ages, or location
- Photographs, drawings, or recordings
- Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses
- Microphone, camera, or contact data
- Usage analytics or behavioural data
An earlier version (2011) asked for a parent's email to send drawings from our server. That feature and server are gone. The current app has no such field, and when it starts, it deletes any old storage area a previous version may have left behind.
What the app stores on your device
The app saves a small amount of information locally so it remembers your child's work:

You can erase all of it by deleting the app. There is no copy anywhere else.
Photos and sharing
The app can save a picture to your device's photo library, or pass it to the operating system's share sheet so you can send it yourself.
This only happens when someone deliberately taps the save or share button. The picture goes to Apple's own system features—we never see it or access your photo library. Where a shared picture goes after you choose a destination is governed by the app or service you send it to, not by us.
Links out of the app
The About and Settings screens have two links: one to our blog, one to this policy. Both are behind a parental gate—a question a young child is unlikely to answer. Those websites have their own privacy practices, not covered by this policy.
Advertising, analytics, and third parties
There is none of any of it. No advertising networks, analytics providers, social media integrations, crash-reporting services, or SDKs from other companies. The app is built from our own code plus two open-source graphics and storage libraries that run entirely on your device.
Crash reports
If you have turned on sharing diagnostics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send us a technical crash report when the app stops unexpectedly. These reports contain a device model, an operating system version, and a description of where the software failed—they do not identify you or your child. You control this in your device settings and Apple's privacy policy governs it.
We use crash reports only to fix bugs.
Children's privacy
This app collects no personal information from anyone, including children. There is nothing for a parent to consent to, nothing to request, and nothing to delete—deleting the app removes everything.
This approach is intended to meet the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The app also meets Apple's Kids Category rules, which forbid third-party advertising and analytics in apps for children.
There is no chat, no user-to-user contact, no user-generated content leaving the device, no external purchases, and no way for a child to reach anyone through the app.
Payment
The app is a one-time purchase from the App Store. Apple handles your payment—we never see your payment details. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Changes to this policy
If the app's privacy practices change significantly, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. If the change involves collecting data, we would say so clearly in the app itself before it took effect.
